Happy # 76 Ringo!

Ringo Starr is 76 this week.

He joined The Beatles months before they hit the UK charts with "Love me do".

Many people believe that he was one of the luckiest guys in recent history.   Ringo was certainly in the right place at the right time.

Ringo was actually a great drummer, which is why he was selected to replace Pete Best.

He was usually in the background and contributed a few songs.

His biggest hit was doing the lead vocal on Lennon-McCartney's "Yellow Submarine". It was the only single off the Revolver album.   A couple of years later, it was the title song of the animated movie.

Ringo had a brief solo career.   His first, and my favorite, was "It don't come easy" in 1971,

Enjoy your day Ringo!
