1964: "Rag doll" was a huge hit on the radio this month


The Four Seasons were  Frankie Valli, Bob Gaudio, Tommy DeVito on lead guitar and Nick Massi.   They were one of the few groups that had hits in the 1960s and 1970s.   The band adjusted to disco and had dancing hits as well.

My favorite song was "Rag doll", a fantastic arrangement by Gaudio and vocal performance by Valli.   The B-side was "Silence is golden", a song recorded later by The Tremeloes:
