Good luck to David Murphy

We just learned that David Murphy retired from baseball.
Murphy was one of the most popular players from the 2010-2011 World Series teams.    Murphy played with Texas from 2007 to 2013.   He was with Cleveland and the Angels the last two seasons.

Murphy played college ball at Baylor and was drafted by the Boston Red Sox.   He broke with Boston in 2006 and was traded to Texas in 2007.

He retired with a .274 lifetime batting average, with 104 HR & 472 RBI.

We wish David well and hope to see him in the Rangers' organization.
