Travis: The Democrats take you for granted!

We have heard this tune before and now it’s Travis Smiley’s turn with Megyn Kelly:
Kelly: On the subject of race, are we better off today that seven years ago?
Tavis Smiley: I’m not sure we are and I think ultimately the president missed a moment… On every leading economic issue, in the leading economic issues Black Americans have lost ground in every one of those leading categories. So in the last ten years it hasn’t been good for black folk. This is the president’s most loyal constituency that didn’t gain any ground in that period.
What an exclamation point for the years of “hope and change”! Wonder how many black liberals like Mr. Smiley thought that they’d be saying stuff like this in year eight of the Obama presidency?
The last ten years? Is Mr. Smiley talking about the years that the Democrats controlled the Congress, 2007-2011? Or our first black president 2009-today?
Mr. Smiley needs to go the distance here and call on black Americans to take ownership of their lives and change how they vote.
Let me paraphrase my friend Bob Parks: “The shop is not fixing your car. Maybe it’s time to change shops.”
Mr. Smiley laments that blacks are the president’s most loyal constituency.
Memo to Travis: It’s time for a little less loyalty and more accountability. It’s also time to have a heart to heart chat about the problems in the black districts, from a collapsing family unit to failing public schools run by the teachers’ unions in bed with Democrats.
