Along with Mick Jagger, Keith was the heart and soul of The Rolling Stones, a band that started playing rock 50 years ago:
"The Rolling Stones made the British charts in 1964 with a cover version of Bobby Womack's "It's All Over Now." That same year, Richards and the rest of the group toured the United States and had their first U.S. hit with "That Girl Belongs to Yesterday."
More hits soon followed, including the chart-topping "Satisfaction" and "Paint It Black."
Keith's guitar is all over their songs. His guitar riffs are legendary, such as "Satisfaction" and others! He is one of the most influential lead guitarists in rock history!
Happy birthday Keith! A lot of people did not think that you'd make it this far! You did and we are happy about that!
