President Obama ignores a law passed by a Democrat party majority!

Governing by executive decree has a new look today.   Check this out:

"But all of a sudden on Tuesday evening Mark Mazur—you know him as the deputy assistant Treasury secretary for tax policy—published a blog post canceling the insurance reporting rules and tax enforcement until 2015 as Washington began to evacuate for the long Independence Day weekend. Enjoy the holiday, mate." (WSJ)

Are you listening Senators and members of the House?  Are you listening Supreme Court Chief Justice Roberts?

Sorry but the GOP and honest Democrats should not take this one sitting down.

First, where does the president of the US get the authority to strike out a portion of a law passed by Congress?  Is that President Obama's version of the "line item veto"?

Second, what about other legislation?  Could President Obama choose to delay border security provisions at some point in the future?  what about other laws?

Third?  Can you pass a law that applies to all of us, i.e. individuals and businesses, and then 'waive" one group of Americans?

We've seen too much of this governing by decree from the Obama administration, from going around Congress in Libya,  legalizing Dreamers when a Senate Democrat majority refused to vote for immigration in an election year or easing work requirements for welfare recipients.

Here is an idea:  Where does President Obama get the authority to do any of this?  Do Democrats want a future GOP president to have this kind of power?

Again, what a weird way to celebrate July 4th!  I just don't think that this is what The Founding Fathers had in mind when they created the presidency!
