It will be soon known as 'The un-affordable Health Care Act'

(My new American Thinker post)

We learned today that congressional staffers are thinking about leaving over ObamaCare:

"Dozens of lawmakers and aides are so afraid that their health insurance premiums will skyrocket next year thanks to Obamacare that they are thinking about retiring early or just quitting.

The fear: Government-subsidized premiums will disappear at the end of the year under a provision in the health care law that nudges aides and lawmakers onto the government health care exchanges, which could make their benefits exorbitantly expensive."

Secondly, we also learned today that ObamaCare may end up being very unaffordable for low wage workers:

"Because of a wrinkle in the law, companies can meet their legal obligations by offering policies that would be too expensive for many low-wage workers. For the employee, it's like a mirage - attractive but out of reach."

ObamaCare a mirage?  Why didn't I think of that one before?

All of this confusion confirms just how reckless President Obama and the Democrats were in passing this law in 2010.
First, no one ever held a hearing about the plan. No one asked a simple question:  what's this thing going to cost?  We had politicians rather than actuaries projecting costs!
The law is 3 years old and we have one word for this law:  UNAFFORDABLE!
