We continued our series of shows about Cubans in the US. Our guest was Fernando Hernandez, author of "The Cubans".
We discussed the life and times Celia Cruz, the great Cuban singer known as "La reina de la salsa".
She started in Cuban radio, then became the lead singer for La Sonora Matancera, the greatest Cuban orchestra of the 1940s and 1950s. In the 1970s, Celia went global and her tours were sold out everywhere.
