Yes, I was crushed last night. It took me a couple of hours to unwind and go to sleep. I can still see that fly ball to right field that turned into a 9th inning triple and tied the game.
However, I don't blame you if you think that St Louis is a team of destiny and meant to win that game 6.
For example, how do you explain the bottom of the 10th inning?
It starts with two weak lefty hitters getting on base against Darren Oliver, an established left handed reliever who has been getting batters out for years. The second hitter, or John Jay, hits the ball down the left field line and it lands where no one can catch it. The next batter bunts the ball in exactly the one place where no Ranger had a chance to catch it and turn it into an easy double-play. Again, team of destiny!
Game 7 is tonight and I expect that Texas will win. Of course, I am assuming that the Cardinals are finally out of miracles!
