Terry Francona of the Red Sox resigned.....when will Pres BO demand a resignation over the ATF guns to Mexico & Solyndra?

Terry Francona of the Red Sox understands leadership. He resigned after his team played poorly in September and couldn't hold a 1-run lead against the Orioles.

Was Terry Francona responsible for Boston's collapse?

Does he pitch? Does he hit?  The answer is "NO"!

However, Terry Francona is the manager and took responsibility for the team's failures.

Francona didn't blame the Japanese earthquake, the Greek mess or the bad weather in the Midwest.  He did not blame the Yankees for blowing a 7-0 lead in the 8th inning against the Rays!

Baseball is not governing the country.  However, leadership is leadership.

Today, we learned that there were a lot more contacts between the Obama White House and the ATF about those 2,000 weapons that were sold to the Mexican cartels:

"The documents show extensive communications between then-ATF Special Agent in Charge of the Phoenix office Bill Newell - who led Fast and Furious - and then-White House National Security Staffer Kevin O'Reilly. Emails indicate the two also spoke on the phone.

Such detailed, direct communications between a local ATF manager in Phoenix and a White House national security staffer has raised interest among Congressional investigators looking into Fast and Furious. Newell has said he and O'Reilly are long time friends." (CBS)

Perhaps, no one wanted to bother Pres BO or AG Holder and tell them that the US government was arming "the opposition" fighting Mexico, our neighbor and commercial partner.

After all, what's the "big deal" about putting 2,000 high powered weapons in the hands of people responsible for 40,000 deaths in Mexico?  Or killing 50 people in a casino?  Or killing Agent Terry on the border?  Or terrorizing ranchers in Arizona?

Again, what's the big deal?

On Solyndra, Sec Chu is publicly accepting responsibility but has not resigned or "cleaned house" in his department:

"Chu spokesman Damien LaVera said in a statement that the secretary approved the restructuring agreement for Solyndra because it gave the company “the best possible chance to succeed in a very competitive marketplace and put the company in a better position to repay the loan.”"

OK.  Why doesn't Sec Chu watch Terry Francona's news conference and learn a lesson or two about leadership and taking responsibility?

At some point, we have to ask: Where is Pres BO?

How can he stand by and allow people to do these things in his government?

This is about leadership.  This is about acting like "the boss".

So far, Pres BO is not acting like a leader or the boss!

As we posted, perhaps no one thinks that Pres BO is the boss.  Perhaps the staff thinks that he is the guy who plays golf and takes expensive vacations.
