Have you ever seen anything like this? Did you ever think that a president of the US would sound like Hugo Chavez of Venezuela or Evo Morales of Bolivia or Fidel Castro of Cuba or Andres Lopez-Obrador of Mexico?
Pres Obama was a major recipient of Wall Street cash in 2008. Today, he is still taking their cash and lashing out at the bankers, the capitalists and everybody else.
This is horrible. This is Obama!
This is a president promoting resentment and envy. He is trying to blame everybody else for the failures of his own policies. (Charles Krauthammer has a fantastic column on Friday about 'scapegoating")
Let's ask a few questions:
Did Wall Street make his 'stimulus" fail? It failed because it was not a stimulus!
Did capitalists and industrialists force him to pass BO-Care? Not at all! He passed BO-Care by rushing it through Congress with backroom deals and never having open hearings on the contents of the bill.
Did they force his administration to give Solyndra a $500 million loan guarantee or subordinate the interests of taxpayers to investors? Why aren't these marchers in Washington asking Pres BO about Solyndra?
Sadly, Pres BO's policies are the primary reason that companies don't hire, invest or look positively to the future.
Why is Pres BO playing the "class warfare card" and associating himself with the 99%? Because he can't run on his record. Also, he needs to re-energize the "hope and change" brigades, or the same ones who stayed home in the 2010 election.
Pres BO is hoping to win re-election by dividing us and promoting envy and resentment against those who are successful. Keith Koffler has a great post about this today.
Of course, Pres BO is a strange kind of 'populist". Bill Flax got it right in his latest post:
"Obama parlays populism, but it’s patently ridiculous for a millionaire recently refreshed from vacationing at Martha’s Vineyard to vilify affluence with such vehemence."
We are watching a pathetic human being "in over his head" and refusing to admit that he made things a lot worse.
He won't admit his mistakes so he is trying to divide us along racial and economic lines.
Again, this is pathetic and not what I expected to see in the US. At the same time, what else do you expect from a man who sat in Rev Wright's church?
P.S. We spoke on Sunday night with Bill Katz about the marches and a few other issues:
