How much trouble is AG Holder in?
Check out how the White House staff is treating the CBS reporter who broke the story about those memos that contradicted AG Holder's statements to Congress. The reporter was yelled at and insulted when she visited the White House. See Rick Moran's account of the incident.
In my opinion, "Fast & Furious" will become a huge scandal. Add Solyndra and that means that "hope and change" will soon be dealing with two scandals and more "poll problems". (Don't be surprised if Dems excuse themselves the next time that Pres BO visits their districts!)
"Fast & Furious" was about putting guns in the hands of Mexican cartels and "tracking them" down in Mexico.
Unfortunately for AG Holder, it blew up when we lost control of the guns south of the border. Was the Obama administration expecting that the cartels would "confirm" receipt of guns? Were the cartels supposed to "text back" that they got the guns?
"Fast & Furious" was also about the arrogance of surrounding yourself with people who have never run anything or have spent their entire lives writing books and doing seminars.
In other words, this is a White House with very little, if any, real world "experience"! (Don't blame me....I voted for McCain!)
"Fast & Furious" was about selling guns to cartels without telling the Mexican government or consulting with Congressional leaders. Didn't someone tell Pres BO that "walking guns" into another country is a violation of sovereignty or referred to as an "invasion"?
In other words, what would we be saying if the Mexican government was "arming" gangs in the US? Wouldn't we be asking for an explanation?
To make matters worse, our porous and poorly defended border means that these guns were brought north by the same criminal elements terrorizing ranchers in Sonora, Arizona, Texas, Chihuahua, and elsewhere on our border.
Didn't someone tell "our historic president" that putting guns in the hands of bad people would kill innocents? Better than that, didn't someone tell Pres BO that a porous border means that guns that go south come back north?
On top of everything, one of these guns killed Border Agent Terry. Another one may have killed Officer Zapata on the Queretaro Highway months ago.
Last, but not least, there is more and more evidence that AG Holder had more knowledge of this program than he admitted to Congress.
We congratulate Bob Owens, an independent analyst, and CBS News who have been doing some good reporting on this story.
We agree with Bob Owens' post today:
"The possible charges and the list of those who could face them are extensive. In addition to the perjury case against Attorney General Holder, there exists the possibility of RICO [3] cases (typically reserved for organized crime syndicates), prosecutions for violating the Arms Export Control Act [4], and the outside chance of prosecutions for international terrorism and treason.
The possibility also exists that Obama administration officials may face prosecution in Mexico for contributing to the deaths of a reported 200 Mexican citizens.
It is a dangerous time to be an Obama administration insider, appointee, or operative."
Fasten your seat belts because this scandal is going to explode and heads will roll. We need resignations and answers because we killed people on both sides of the border.
