The Rangers won their game a bit before 10 pm CT. So we watched the MLB network and waited to hear the Angels-A's score.
We also got to watch the Brewers clinch the NL Central. What a great celebration. What a night for Braun, who made a great catch and then hit a 3-run homer win the game.
After that, we joined the 40,000 crowd "go crazy" when the Cubs beat the Cardinals.
I am very happy for Brewers' fans. They deserve a celebration like that after waiting 29 years or 1982!
How about the Braves going to Milwaukee in the first round? Isn't that a bit interesting? Wonder how many of the new fans remember that there was once a team called the Milwaukee Braves?
Then we watched the D-Backs beat the Giants and clinch the NL West. I don't follow the NL West that much but the young D-Backs look good and manager Kirk Gibson will have them ready. Nobody is talking about the D-Backs and that should worry the Phillies, who will likely face them in the first round.
Last, but not least, everyone was rooting for those A's in North Texas. It finally happened when Vernon Wells flew out and the Rangers had clinched the AL West.
It was very late around here but lots of fans stayed at the stadium and we got to watch a very nice celebration.
Pennant race baseball.....still the best!
