Too many "straw polls", too many side issues and NOT enough talk about the economy & foreign policy!

We just heard that Herman Cain won the Florida straw poll.  We are also hearing that Gov Perry's campaign is struggling.  I heard this morning that Bill Kristol wants someone else to join the race.

I don't have a problem with another candidate jumping in.  I just caution people that the "new guy" may run into the same problem that Gov Perry just did.

My point is this whole process starts too early and too many people are getting equal billing.

How can you put 9 people on the stage and treat each one like a credible nominee for president?

Cut the straw polls and wait a bit to start these debates.

Force these candidates to talk about the economy and foreign policy rather than vaccines or sanctuary cities.

Don't get me wrong.  I didn't like Gov Perry's vaccine decision either.

Also, I think that sanctuary cities are atrocious and an affront on the rule of law.

However, the 2012 election won't be about vaccines or sanctuary cities.

It should be about Pres BO's awful stewardship of the economy and his confusing foreign policy.

Let's get serious.  2012 will be one of the most important elections in US history.  Let's have a serious debate about the issues that matter to people, specially all of those disenchanted voters who are looking for someone other Pres BO.
