It was nice watching Pres & Mrs Bush this weekend.
Actually we've seen them at the Rangers' game often. They've been enjoying at lot of Rangers' baseball lately!

Pres & Mrs Bush have been "all class" since leaving the presidency. Unlike Pres Clinton, who can not avoid the microphone or any reporter, he has maintained a professional silence.
Ten years after 9-11, it is rewarding to see Pres Bush get the credit that he deserves on leadership and keeping the nation safe.
Pres Bush was the definition of leadership. He assumed the responsibility of a "war president" immediately.
He didn't blame his predecessor for doing nothing about terrorism or letting Al Qaeda thrive.
In fact, Pres Clinton was asleep or inadequate.....how many times were we attacked or bombed during the Clinton years......the WTC in '93, the two embassies in Africa in '98......the USS Cole in 2000......do you understand why Osama Bin Laden concluded that we were weak?
He didn't "whine" or point fingers. Like a true leader, he accepted the world as it was and set out to defend the country.
Pres BO was all about leadership. He instinctely understood that we were attacked by evil people who had to be stopped.
Stephanie Maier was in the school room the moment that Andy Card told Pres Bush about the second plane hitting the WTC:
"In that moment when Andrew Card stood back up, there was something palpable, but this was the president he was talking to, and it could have been anything in the world, literally.
There was no panic. No fear. No confusion emanating from Bush the man. There was strength of resolve to lead.
In the moment that he never knew would happen, George W. Bush demonstrated true leadership. He instinctively knew that these were young children, and that lasting impressions had impact.
He remained calm and let them finish; a decision that delayed things by only five minutes."
Beyond that morning, Pres Bush put together the infrastructure that kept us safe.
10 years later, the Bush anti-terror policies are still in place. They've been continued by the man elected as "the anti-Bush", as today's Wall Street Journal notes:
"Though the President came to office promising to undo his predecessor's antiterror legacy, he has for the most part preserved it.
That goes for re-authorizing key provisions of the Patriot Act (including that favorite ACLU bugaboo, the so-called library-records provision); moving forward with military tribunals for Khalid Sheikh Mohammed and other detainees; keeping Guantanamo open (albeit grudgingly), and giving the CIA authority to dramatically increase the use of drones against terrorist leaders.
As for some of Mr. Obama's other promises, such as ending the use of enhanced interrogations or closing down the black sites, these were already accomplished facts well before George W. Bush left office." (WSJ)
We say "well done" to Pres Bush. We were very fortunate that he was the commander in chief that terrible day.
