The Rangers and CJ Wilson open the 2011 post-season today and we can't wait. We stayed up late on Wednesday to see Texas beat LA and then watch Tampa clinch the "wild card spot".
The Rangers have really won the public opinion battle in North Texas.
They set an attendance record with over 2.95 million fans. Remember that we had a very hot summer but the fans showed up anyway.
This is a 'fan friendly" team. The players have a wonderful relationship with the fans. The team has marketed the players well.
The Rangers' face is Nolan Ryan. He's turned out to be a great executive. He has patiently developed young pitchers like Holland and Harrison. We understand that there are lots of young arms in the system.
How deep will team go in the 2011 playoffs? Time will tell but don't be surprised if they win the World Series.
