Some Tuesday morning thoughts!

We woke up to some interesting news about Pres BO & his Dems base:

"A new poll by CNN and ORC International finds that 27 percent of Democrats would like to see their party nominate a candidate other than Barack Obama for president in 2012." (York)

We also heard that black leaders are not happy:

"“You can spend a lot of time trying to win over white independents, but if you don’t pay attention to your base, African-Americans, if you have not locked up your base yet, you’ve got a serious problem,” said CNN contributor Roland Martin." (Politico)

What does it mean for 2012?  My guess is that they will vote for Pres BO.  However, the key is turnout, the kind of exciting and fanatical turnout that got BO nominated and elected.

We are also very happy to hear that the GOP House wants to make some changes at the UN:

"House Republicans are planning to introduce today legislation that seeks to force major changes at the United Nations, using as leverage the U.S.’s 22 percent contribution to the world body’s operating budget." (Bloomberg)

This is long overdue.  The UN has turned into a joke.  It is a collection of corrupt despots who beat up on the US and Israel for their domestic politics.
