Seriously.....is Pres BO really that frustrated?

A few months ago, we spoke with Frank Burke about Pres BO's managerial style.  We remind you of what Frank wrote:

"The abdicative manager evidences a tendency to flee from responsibility and is frequently encountered in situations where he or she never wanted the job in the first place (for instance, a son or daughter who inherits a company or the individual who discovers that they are incapable of adequate performance)."

Pres BO's recent behavior is also cause for concern.  Peter Wehner wrote about this yesterday:

"As Mr. Obama is increasingly overwhelmed by events, as he and his presidency shrink before our eyes, his worst tendencies are being exacerbated, his narcissism further exposed, his anger at an unaccommodating world more pronounced.

A man of supreme self-regard is watching things crumble before his eyes.

He is obviously not well equipped to process any of this. It is enough for one to feel, if only for a moment, some pity for Mr. Obama.

These are not easy days for him, and certainly not for his country."

I think that we are watching a man who is miserable and growing more miserable on the job every day.

First, this is not the job that he ran for.  He wanted to be a consequential historical figure.  He wanted to be a Reagan or FDR!  He thought that the world was waiting for his arrival.

Instead, he is overwhelmed by events.  He is in over his head!

Second, he was led to believe that he could move events with a speech.  Instead, people are tuning him out.  His speech last Monday sank the stock market!

Third, he does not know what to do anymore!  He is also surrounded by people who do not know what to do either.  Just check out Sec Geithner!

Fourth, he is living in the fantasy land:  Obama Compares Himself to Martin Luther King

Fifth, he calls on Congress to get things done but his party controls the Senate.    Why doesn't he present a plan and call on Congress to pass it?

Bottom line:  We have a president objectively out of his depth (no executive experience) and wrong temperament for this job.

Unfortunately, the world, and specially places like Syria or Iran, do not wait for our president to recover from his "funk" or get in the game.

Again, it does not give me pleasure to write this post.  Nevertheless, Pres BO's recent speeches suggest that he is confused and frustrated.  This is very bad for the leader of the world's only superpower.

P.S. We discussed this topic, and others, with Bill Katz of Urgent Agenda:
