The left and the media coming to grips with the reality that they voted for an empty suit!

It was painful to watch.

At noon on Monday, we heard that the president of the US was going to make a statement about the S&P downgrade and the subsequent stock market reaction.

As usual, Pres BO was late and kept us waiting for almost an hour.

He finally spoke, said nothing and the market went further south.

Again, it was painful to watch.   Obama talks and everybody runs to the window to cash out and run home!

It is also getting specially painful for all of those in "media in the tank" for BO who checked their journalistic integrity at the door to be a part of a "historic" candidacy.

Yes, they can't take it anymore.  They can't swim "in the tank" anymore!  I guess that these guys can't sleep at night anymore either!

This is Dana Milbank, one of candidate BO's biggest "cheerleaders" in the media:

"When he began his speech (and as cable news channels displayed for viewers), the Dow Jones industrials stood at 11,035.

As he talked, the average fell below 11,000 for the first time in nine months, en route to a 635-point drop for the day, the worst since the 2008 crash."

Check out The NY Times, the voice of the American left.  The NY Times was so much in the tank for Obama that it ran a "hit piece" on Mrs McCain in '08.  This is from today:

"Anyone hungering for a robust vision to invigorate the economy and increase employment is still hungry."

Over in Europe, the land that welcomed candidate BO like an anti-Bush messiah in the summer of '08, the disappointment is widespread.

The Europeans don't get it.  They fell in love with the anti-Bush and even gave him a Nobel Peace Prize on his potential as a "peacemaker".  However, they got the Bush policy in Iraq, GITMO is still open and an escalation of Afghanistan!

Check out The Economist.  They call him "An under performing president"

I hate to say "I told you so" but we did tell you so!

Last, but not least, check this one out:

"A second possibility is that he is simply not up to the task by virtue of his lack of experience and a character defect that might not have been so debilitating at some other time in history.

Those of us who were bewitched by his eloquence on the campaign trail chose to ignore some disquieting aspects of his biography:

that he had accomplished very little before he ran for president,

having never run a business or a state;

that he had a singularly unremarkable career as a law professor, publishing nothing in 12 years at the University of Chicago other than an autobiography;

and that, before joining the United States Senate, he had voted "present" (instead of "yea" or "nay") 130 times, sometimes dodging difficult issues."

The author is Drew Westen.  He is a professor of psychology at Emory University and the author of “The Political Brain: The Role of Emotion in Deciding the Fate of the Nation.”.  He wrote this article in The NY Times over the weekend.

Again, we told you so!  I guess that it took a couple of years for our liberal friends to figure out that he is an empty suit and tanking in the polls!

P.S. They should have listened to Pres Clinton.  He called him a "fairy tale" back in 2008 because of BO's positions on the Iraq war.

He was right and so was Mr Biden:
