On behalf of everyone in our family, and friends all over, we wish my parents a very happy 60th anniversary.
Sixty years ago, my parents had a mid-day wedding and took off for the beaches of eastern Cuba. They spent their honeymoon over there and returned to Sagua where my dad was a young banker. The three of us came along years later!
According to "family tales", my mother was quite a dancer in her younger days. In fact, we grew up hearing stories of how our future mom impressed our future father with her dancing steps.

In fact, she and my dad spent a lot of their courtship dancing. It was the thing to do in their generation!
They used to dance and listen to great songs like "Bajo un palmar' by Orquesta Riverside. It was typical of the great music recorded and performed in 1950's Cuba:
