First, cartels do not respect US or Mexican laws. They buy their guns or "firepower" in the international black market. They don't need to come here and buy their guns from legally operating shops.
Second, how can the Obama administration talk about "guns to Mexico" after they just sent 2,000 firearms to cartels? Who is kidding who?
Mexico is awash in guns because the cartels have the cash and corruption is rampant south of the border.
This is not about gun laws. This is about both countries getting serious about protecting the border.
