Are you ready for another pretty First Lady who went from The Governor's Mansion in Austin to The White House in Washington DC?
We hear that Anita Perry is OK with Gov Perry running for president: Anita Perry encourages husband to run for president
It is extremely important to have a wife on board if you want to run for president.
Unlike candidate BO in 2008, Gov Perry will be put to the test and his past investigated. We will soon see NY Times reporters going around Texas looking for every bit of dirt about Gov Perry, including the books that he checked out from the grade school libary.
We will learn everything about Gov Perry's associations or ministers. He won't be given a pass like candidate BO.
I am happy to report that Gov Perry did not start his first campaign in a terrorist's living room. Also, he did not attend a church with a minister who delivered racist sermons every Sunday!
Unlike candidate BO, Gov Perry will be required to present proposals rather than meaningless "hope and change" speeches.
It won't be easy for Gov Perry, or any GOP candidate, who challenges Pres BO. It won't be easy because the media is in the tank for Pres BO and looking to do its part to reelect him.
Therefore, it's nice to see that Anita is on board.
Like Laura Bush, Anita Perry is a very traditional woman with strong family values. She has been in the background for much of her husband's successful political career.
Anita won't play well in San Francisco but that's OK.
I think that she will play well between SF and NY City where most of the voters live anyway!
