Debt ceiling debate? How about a debate about growth?

We will survive August 2nd.  One way or another, we will get a deal, find the money to pay our obligation and make it to the next deadline.

However, what about the 1.3% GDP growth figure that came out Friday morning?  How about a debate about policies that will actually grow this economy?

Another Friday and we get more bad news about the US economy:

"The U.S. economy stumbled badly in the first half of 2011 and came dangerously close to contracting in the January-March period, raising the risk of a recession if a stand-off over the nation's debt does not end quickly."

It is bad news all over the front pages: Consumer Sentiment Falls to Lowest Level Since March 2009

We are a country mired in a recession that was made worse by the stimulus of '09 and the uncertainly that followed BO-Care.

Yes, the stimulus did not stimulate and BO-Care is a huge burden on our country.

I hate to be be pessimistic but there is not a lot of room for optimism as long Pres BO is in The Oval Office.

More bad news: We just learned that the African American middle class is eroding because unemployment is going up and up and up in that community.

What a legacy for the first African American president.  Wonder how many African Americans voted for this when they gave him 90% of their votes?
