Derek Jeter smashed the 3,000 mark with a home run and a couple of other hits. He is now the 28th player to reach the 3,000 hits club!
Since 1996, when he was the AL Rookie of the Year, Derek Jeter has been one of the greatest players in MLB history. He is also the greatest Yankee since Thurman Munson, the last Yankee captain.
Again, congratulations to Derek Jeter and add another 500!
