We read in The WSJ that we can't account for 1,000 weapons sold to cartels.
What happened to them? Nobody knows, or nobody in the Obama administration remembers who approved a plan of this magnitude!
We also learned today ATF in the US did not tell ATF agents in Mexico about the plan:
"The report also reveals that Fast and Furious weapons were recovered at the scene of Sinaloa drug cartel members who allegedly kidnapped and killed the brother of Mexico’s former attorney general.
The report notes of Mario Gonzalez Rodriguez, a Mexican lawyer,
“On November 5, 2010, Mexican authorities found Mario Gonzalez Rodriguez’s body in a shallow grave.
147 Shortly after this grisly discovery, the Mexican federal police engaged in a shootout with drug cartel members, which resulted in the arrest of eight suspects.
Police seized sixteen weapons from the scene of the shootout.
Two of these weapons traced back to Operation Fast and Furious.”
The report also notes that a .50 caliber rifle used to shoot at a Mexican police helicopter was also linked to the operation." (ABC)
We also learned today that 122 of the weapons that went south have now been found in Mexican crime scenes.
Add to this that The Sinaloa Cartel benefited from these guns and that AFT officials lied to Mexican authorities about the source of the guns! (FOX)
Frankly, this is more than a mess! This is a disgrace and someone has to pay the political price.
In my opinion, everything points to AG Holder, the man responsible for ATF.
Option 1: AG Holder did not know that his department was selling guns to Mexico.
Option 2: AG Holder approved the program directly or indirectly. (ATF Manager says he shared Fast and Furious Info with White House)
It's time for Pres BO to ask for AG Holder's resignation. He is either lying or way "in over his head"!
P.S. We spoke with Juan Hernandez about this on Wednesday night:
