Romney and Bachman look good!
The CNN GOP debate was like watching the first or second pre-season game.
The stars played not to get hurt and the guys trying to make the team went for the big play.
Let me give each participant a grade:
Santorum----nice fellow but not a national candidate yet. Santorum could be a strong VP candidate if Pennsylvania is in play in 2012. I'd like to see him challenge Casey for the US Senate seat in '12!
Bachman----great performance but we have not elected a House member to the presidency since the 19th century.
Gingrich-----good comeback after a bad week. I loved his answers, specially the one about "false choices" on immigration.
Romney-----avoided mistakes and looked very strong. This man looks like a president and he is starting to sound like one.
Paul-----same Paul as in '08! I don't see what the excitement is all about.
Pawlenty-----great potential but he is not moving up. I still think that he is the VP candidate because he can bring Minnesota and Wisconsin. Pres BO can not be reelected without those states.
Cain----very interesting fellow but I'd wish that he run for governor of Georgia and come back later.
Last, but not least, CNN spent too much time talking about same-sex marriage and hardly any on foreign policy.
P.S. I am looking for to another debate and adding Gov Perry of Texas!
