The Mexican government is back in our courts again.....

Mexico is back.

The Mexican political class is up here spending dollars in our courts again.

Wonder how much they are spending?  What law firms are getting this lucrative business?

It costs $250 an hour, at least, to hire lawyers in the US.

Again, has the Mexican political class told the Mexican people that they are spending these sums in the US?

Unfortunately, these dollars will not create a single job in Mexico.

They won't encourage any US company to open a plant in Mexico and hire Mexicans south of the border

It won't reform PEMEX or find more oil for export.  It won't make the agricultureal sector more productive.

They also won't endear the Mexican political class to US voters.

Pres Caldleron's 2010 criticisms of the Arizona turned into a political disaster for Pres BO & Dems.  After all, how would Mexicans react if Pres BO went before the Mexican Congess and criticized Article 33 of the Mexican Constitution?

We hear that Mexico is now challenging the recent illegal immigration law in Alabama: Mexico, several other countries seek to halt Georgia's new anti-illegal immigration law

So what's going on?

How can a country with "Articulo 67" complain about another country enforcing laws against "ILLEGAL" immigration:

"Mexican officials have recently criticized Arizona's immigration law, but they've been less vocal about their own immigration laws and practices.

Under Mexican law, Article 67 reads, “Authorities, whether federal, state or municipal, are required to demand that foreigners prove their legal presence in the country, before attending to any issues.”" (via CNN)

Really?  Prove "their legal presence in the country"?  Are you listening Arizona, Alabama and all of the other states contemplating laws?

We repeat: Alabama passed a law against ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION not Mexicans!   In fact, the Alabama seeks to go after employers who are hiring illegals and gaining an unfair advantage against companies that play by the rules.

Fact: There are thousands of Mexicans living legally in the US.  We love them because they pay taxes and contribute to the US economy.

They don't have to worry about illegal immigration laws because they are legal immigrants!

They played by the rules to get their papers.  They waited their turn, obeyed the laws and are now enjoying their legal residency in the US.

We have called for a sensible immigration arrangement with Mexico.  We believe that the most practical solution is the expansion of "temp work visas".   They are the best way to "legalize" many of these people through their jobs.

However, it does not help when the Mexican government "sticks its nose" in US internal matters.

Who is giving political advice to Pres Calderon?  It can not be someone who understands how damaging "these Mexican interventions" are!
