The amazing Paul McCartney is 69 today!
Back in 1963, The Beatles recorded their second UK LP.
It included "Til there was you". It did not chart in the US but did very well in the UK.
Eventually, they exploded over here with "I want to hold your hand" in January '64. Shortly after, "Til there was you" was one of the 12 songs in "Meet The Beatles".
The first video is from November 1963 and before The Queen.
This is two months before their first US appearance on The Ed Sullivan Show in February '64.
The second video is Paul in 2002:
"There were bells on a hill But I never heard them ringing
No I never heard them at all 'Til there was you
There were birds in the sky But I never saw them winging
No I never saw them at all 'Til there was you
Then there was music and wonderful roses
They sent me in sweet fragrant meadows of dawn and you
There was love all around But I never heard it singing
No I never heard it at all 'Til there was you
Then there was music and wonderful roses
They tell me in sweet fragrant meadows of dawn and you
There was love all around But I never heard it singing
No I never heard it at all 'Til there was you 'Til there was you".
