A good day for The Dallas Stars and those Stanley Cup memories!

The Dallas Stars have been in the back pages for much of the last year.

First, the Rangers played in the World Series.  Second, the Mavericks won the NBA Finals.  Third, the Cowboys will be playing soon.

It's been a very bad year for the Stars, specially that last game loss that kept them out of the playoffs.

We did get good news yesterday:  Former Stars Nieuwendyk, Belfour in 2011 Hockey Hall of Fame class

This is great.  Of course, we remember Nieuwendyk and Belfour, two of the great stars of the 1999 Stanley Cup Champs!

Congratulations to Joe and Eddie.  We anticipate that other Stars will soon join them:

"Brett Hull was inducted in 2009, giving the 1999 Stanley Cup champion three Hall of Famers, with players such as Mike Modano , Jere Lehtinen and Sergei Zubov not yet eligible."

Again, it's been very tough on the Stars lately.   However, we still have those wonderful memories of that overtime win in Buffalo that won The Stanley Cup:
