Why wasn't Gov Perry at the CNN debate? I don't know but he needs to be at the next one!
Gov Perry has strengths and weaknesses.
His biggest asset is the Texas economy, the best performing economy in the US.
We are the job creator of the US in Texas. We have the best business climate in the country.

His biggest weakness is that he has never campaigned outside of Texas. Can he play outside of Texas?
I think that Gov Perry will get in Pres BO's face and the conservatives will love that. However, will that work well with independents who are less ideological?
Time will tell but I hope that he gets in.
Gov Perry has a good story to tell. He has been up front against Pres BO's expansion of federal powers at the expense of states' rights, such as the federal takeover of health insurance and the "out of control" EPA!
He is also a huge critic, correctly in my opinion, of Pres BO's indifference about the violence on the US-Mexico border. We've had two "shootouts" at the Texas border. For example, UT-Brownsville recently cancelled night classes because of bullets flying over the border.
