The Congress is right! Pres BO can not start indefinite wars without going to Congress!

On Friday, the US House of Representatives got it right.  And it wasn't just the Republicans who stood up to Pres BO:

"The size of the votes signals overwhelming discontent with Mr. Obama’s handling of the constitutional issues surrounding the Libya fight."  (WashTimes)

The issue is simple.

We support a president who acts to protect US interests.

For example, I supported Pres Clinton when he bombed Iraq several times to enforce UN resolutions or the 1991 cease fire.

However, the Libya operation was never presented to the US Congress.  On the other hand, it was presented to the UN.

Since when do we start wars without going to Congress but going to the UN?

The Congress is right and it should threaten to cut the funding until Pres BO decides to explain what he is doing.
