A word about the passing of Harmon Killebrew!

Add caption

We just got word that Harmon Killebrew, the great baseball slugger of our youth passed away today.  He was 74 and died of cancer.

Killebrew hit 573 home runs with the original Senators who moved to Minnesota in 1961.  He is 36th on the all-time RBI list.  He won the AL MVP in 1969.

He was the clean-up hitter in the great Twins lineup of the late 1960's.  He hit behind Tony Oliva and they were one of the best hitting combinations ever!

Our best to Killebrew's family.  Thanks for the memories, and specially those "titanic home runs" that thrilled my generation.
