We congratulate Pres BO for pulling the trigger on Bin Laden. We also say "GOOD JOB" to the special forces that went in and put a bullet in OBL's forehead.
Nevertheless, I agree with Peter Wehner:
"I would add only that it’s fair to ask
(a) which Bush-era policies, if any, helped lead to the death of Osama bin Laden;
(b) which Bush-era policies that Obama opposed made bin Laden’s death possible; and
(c) what would have happened to bin Laden if he had in fact been captured rather than killed and Attorney General Eric Holder had his way (a national security official told Reuters that the U.S. special forces team that hunted down bin Laden was under orders to kill the al Qaeda mastermind, not capture him)."

"This is also a moment to salute George W. Bush. After 9/11, Mr. Bush began the counterattack that became the war on terror, developed and expanded the military and intelligence means to fight it, and never flagged in its pursuit even as his political opposition derided him for his determination.
The attack even looks to be a vindication of Mr. Bush's interrogation policies, as U.S. sources say the initial break that led to the operation, concerning a bin Laden courier, came several years ago from Guantanamo detainees.
The most striking fact of Mr. Obama's prosecution of the war on terror is how much it resembles Mr. Bush's, to the consternation of America's anti-antiterror left."
Yes, it is clear that we got the info from GITMO or rendition jails, two policies opposed by candidate BO and the American left.
During the Bush presidency, then Sen BO promised to close GITMO. They also attacked Pres Bush & VP Cheney for choosing to fight our enemies rather than negotiate with them.
Today, we are very happy that GITMO was there to get information and hold the world's worst terrorists.
Yes, the American left owes Pres Bush & VP Cheney a huge apology.
Frankly, Pres BO owes his predecessor a big apology, too.
