How much evidence do you need that our media is corrupt and in the tank for BO?
First, let's talk about the poet attending a White House ceremony tonight.
Don't get me wrong. I love to promote poetry. I love a First Lady who uses her unique influence to promote poetry, literacy, music, love of country, teen exercise, etc.
Question: Who is this poet? And why are so many people just a little bit concerned about the invitation to The White House?
We are talking about a man who has a bit of a controversial collection of poems:
"In one poem, he called for the metaphorical burning of President George W. Bush -- a "burning Bush." And in a song, he praised convicted cop-killer and former Black Panther Assata Shakur." (FOX)

This is appalling. However, where is the media and their new found concern for civility?
Also, didn't someone at The White House do any background checks?
Pres & Mrs Obama have two young daughters. Do they want this kind of poetry around their young daughters?
Second, let's take at that new AP poll, or the one that claims that Pres BO's approval has jumped to 60%!
Ed Morrissey of Hot Air destroyed the poll earlier today. In fact, he posted this:
"The Dem/Rep/Ind breakdown in this poll is 46/29/4, as AP assigned most of the leaners to the parties.
That is a 17-point gap, more than twice what was seen in the 2008 actual popular vote that elected Obama.
It only gets worse when independents are assigned properly. When taking out the leaners, the split becomes — I’m not kidding — 35/18/27. Oh, and another 20% “don’t know.”
That’s significantly worse than the March poll, in which the proper D/R/I was 29/20/34, and far beyond their post-midterm sample of 31/28/26.
It’s pretty easy to get Obama to 60% when Republicans are undersampled by almost half.." (HOTAIR)
This is insane. Didn't some editor at AP read this sample or inquire about it?
On one hand, you have total media indifference about "a rapper poet" going to the White House. On the other hand, you have AP peddling a corrupt poll with a bad sample.
Do the people in the media understand why they are losing readers and viewers?
The White House social secretary should be fired for invitating such an outregous guest.
The AP should fire every editor who didn't object to this poll sample.
