Once upon a time, our young sister used to play a lot of Osmonds' records. Her favorite was Donnie Osmond.
A few years later, Marie Osmond started singing with Donnie and then had her own very successful career. They also had a very popular TV variety show!
I lost track of the Osmonds in the 1980's, although I did see them once in a while on TV.
Like the rest of us, Marie grew up and had kids. I was very sorry to hear that she lost her son in a terrible accident not long ago.
Yesterday, I heard that Marie, who is now a very young looking 51, remarried her first husband: Marie Osmond Remarries Her First Husband
Well, congratulations to Marie. I hope that she is very happy in her new life.
In the '70s., Marie released an album of country songs.
I liked her version of "In my little corner of the world", a song that was a big hit for Anita Bryant many years ago.
I think that the lyrics are just right for a girl who just found her man:
