By the way, who started this about Cinco de Mayo and Mexican independence day?
I don't know but "Cinco de Mayo" has nothing to do with Mexican independence.
It is "La Batalla de Puebla", as my wife is reminding everyone!
We will enjoy the annual Cinco de Mayo parade in Dallas.
It is a lot of fun!
I love all of the little girls dancing with their colorful dresses.
Let's eat some of that good Mexican food!
Let's enjoy a song from that wonderful Linda Ronstadt CD of traditional Mexican music. I think that Linda did a fabulous job.
I read that La Cigarra" was recorded by Jorge Negrete and then Lola Beltran. They are two of the greatest vocalists of the Spanish speaking world.
