My guess is that Prince William, and his lovely bride Kate, can't wait for a little privacy and a long honeymoon.
Frankly, wouldn't you? We've had months of mindless attention to everything, from her ring to her dress to her hairstyle?
So best of luck to the young couple. I hope that they are very happy and give us lots of princes and princesses to talk about! (Keep Uncle Harry busy with all of those kids!)
Let me say a word about William and Harry. They've turned out to be excellent young men.
A couple of years ago, Harry served in Afghanistan and did not dodge military service despite concerns about having a royal family member captured in battle.
It's a shame that Diana did not live to see her two sons grow up.
By the way, what's the greatest wedding day song?
I pick "Chapel of Love", a pop classic by The Dixie Cups, one of those wonderful black girl groups of the 1960s.
The second is the more traditional "Chapel in the moonlight" by Dean Martin:
"Goin' to the chapel and we're Gonna get married
Goin' to the chapel and we're Gonna get married
Gee, I really love you and we're
Gonna get married Goin' to the chapel of love
Sprin is hereThe sky is blue (whoa-whoa-whoa)
Birds all sing As if they knew
Today's the day We'll say I do
And we'll never be lonely anymore
Because we're
Goin' to the chapel and we're Gonna get married
Goin' to the chapel and we're Gonna get married
Gee, I really love you and we're
Gonna get married Goin' to the chapel of love
Bells will ring The sun will shine (whoa-whoa-whoa)
I'll be his and He'll be mine
We'll love until The end of time
And we'll never be lonely anymore
Because we're
Goin' to the chapel and we're Gonna get married
Goin' to the chapel and we're Gonna get married
Gee, I really love you and we're
Gonna get married Goin' to the chapel of love.....
"How I love to hear the organ In the chapel in the moonlight
While we're strolling down the aisle Where roses entwine
How I love to hear you whisper In the chapel in the moonlight
That the lovelight in your eyes Forever will shine
Til the roses turn to ashes Til the organ turns to rust
If you never come I'll still be there Til the moonlight turns to dust
How I love to hear the choir In the chapel in the moonlight
As they sing "Oh Promise Me" Forever be mine
(Til the roses turn to ashes) Til the organ turns to rust
(If you never come I'll still be there)
Til the moonlight turns to dust
How I love to hear the choir In the chapel in the moonlight
As they sing "Oh Promise Me"
Forever be mine In the chapel in the moonlight...."
