Do you remember the anti-war movement of the Bush years? or when the first Pres Bush went into Iraq in '91? or when Pres Reagan put a missile in Khadaffi's living room in '86?
Do you remember how outraged the "left" used to be when GOP presidents used military force?
Why is the anti-war movement so hypocritical? Why do they get passionate about war when Republican presidents use force?
For example, did you see anti-war demonstrations when Pres Clinton invaded Haiti in '94, started a war over Bosnia in '95 or dropped bombs over Baghdad for a week in '98?
By the way, Haiti and Bosnia were done without a UN or Congressional resolution.
In other words, Pres Clinton went around the OAS on Haiti and the UN on Bosnia? Talk about unilateralism!
On Iraq, Pres Clinton even told us that "the cease fire" violations gave him the right to attack.
Like Libya, Pres Clinton did not get a congressional resolution to invade Haiti, drop bombs in Bosnia or enforce UN resolutions in Iraq.
For the record, Pres Bush-41 and Pres Bush-43 went to Congress to debate those wars and got majorities in support.
Where is the anti-war movement today now that Pres BO has authorized drones in Libya, escalated Afghanistan and has followed the Bush/McCain policy in Iraq?
TOTAL SILENCE!
They hate war but only when a GOP president fights them! They get loud about "indefinite detention" at GITMO but go MUTE when Pres BO is doing it!

Let's check with Alana Goodman:
"This is further evidence (if further evidence is needed) that the anti-war movement was little more than a partisan anti-Bush movement.
Obama has continued most of Bush’s counterterrorism tactics, increased AfPak drone strikes, kept open Guantanamo Bay, sent the U.S. into a war in Libya and tinkered with Miranda rights for terrorists.
And yet no massive anti-war protests greet him in California, nobody burns him in effigy, nobody chants that he’s “the real terrorist.”
Expect the anti-war movement to wake up shortly after a Republican president takes office again.
Perhaps even in January 2013."

Yes, the anti-war movement will wake up from their "hypocrisy" when a GOP president takes over in 2013.
We will see lots of outrage about war and GITMO again. Just you wait!
