Yes, there is a chance that these higher gasoline prices could stop our fragile recovery.
Therefore, why aren't we drilling in the US?
I understand that drilling for new oil resources won't have an impact on current gasoline prices. However, it will send a message that we intend to break our dependence from foreign oil.
It will bring down the price of oil, although it won't be anytime soon. (I just paid $37 to fill up my tank this morning or 10 gallons @ 3.70!)
