Birth certificate? How about releasing an economic plan that creates jobs rather than demonize the people who pay taxes and/or create jobs!

Pres BO said today that the birth certificate debate was a distraction.  In other words, he'd rather talk about real issues, such as jobs and national security.

I agree!  So where has Pres BO been on those issues?

Let's talk about jobs!  Let's start by "releasing" a jobs plan that creates private sector employment rather another attack on "the rich".

The Obama administration continues to promote the myth that "the rich" must pay more.

What's wrong with that?  The answer is that they are already paying a lot more than "their fair share":

"The wealthy pay a greater share of federal income taxes than at least since 1980, according to the Internal Revenue Service.

That year, the top 1% paid less than 18% of all federal income taxes.

By 2008, they paid 38% — even though the top tax rate was half what it was 28 years before.

And while the effective tax rate on the rich has gone down in recent years, it was lower in 1986 than it is today, according to an analysis by the Congressional Budget Office.

It's also worth noting that the total amount of taxes paid by the top 1% — and even the top 0.1% — climbed during the Bush years.

In 2008, the richest 0.1% paid $48 billion more in taxes than they did in 2001, IRS data show." (Berline, IBD)

The point is that Pres BO has been avoiding the tough choices and engaging in irresponsible "class warfare".

As we've seen in Latin America, "class warfare" drives money and investors out of the country.  Frankly, I fear that Pres BO demagoguery will do the same thing.
