Yes, 9 games is only 5.5% of the 162-game season. Therefore, I won't predict that the Rangers will continue to play at this pace for the rest of 2011.
Nevertheless, you can't exaggerate the importance of a 8-1 start.
The Rangers have done it with very good pitching and timely hitting....is there a better formula in baseball?
On Saturday, it was Harrison. Today it was Holland.
They are both young lefties who could help the Rangers be very competitive for years.
Don't expect the Rangers to win 8 of 9 the rest of the way.....but so far the Rangers have been a lot of fun to watch.
