My baseball predictions for 2011

We spoke with Paul Greco about the upcoming baseball season.

This is our 4th annual pre-season show with Paul.  This is also the first time that we can speak about the reigning AL champs, The Texas Rangers.  (See the picture above from the ALCS celebration last October)

My predictions are these:

NL East----I will pick the Phillies because it's hard to go against that awesome pitching staff.  However, keep an eye on those young Braves and the even younger Marlins.

NL Central----I love what Milwaukee did in the off season.  However, Cincinnati is a year older and probably hungrier after last year's early exit in the playoffs.

NL West----How can you bet against San Francisco's pitchers?  However, I'm going to pick Colorado.

The wild card will come from the NL East....probably the Braves.

AL East----Boston is probably the most improved team in baseball.  The Yankees are older and the Rays will have a hard time replacing Crawford in the lineup.

AL Central----I will pick Chicago over Minnesota in a down to the wire race.

AL West----The Rangers and the A's will make it very interesting in September.  However, Texas will win.

The wild card will come from the AL Central....probably the Twins.

I will make post season predictions by mid-season.  However, I think that a Boston-Philadelphia World Series is very likely.
