It's official: The stimulus did not stimulate. It did not create jobs or reduce the deficit.
The Obama administration has a new deficit: $1.65 trillion!
This figure is 10.9% of GDP or the largest deficit relative to GDP since World War II.
Here is a comforting thought: The $1.65 trillion is larger than the $1.48 trillion estimated by the CBO.
Pres BO's budget does not tackle entitlements. In other words, Pres BO is not serious about addressing the deficit.
I understand that it's not easy but Pres BO could show a little leadership and call for a 10% "real cut" across the board.
Are you telling me that our government could not operate with 90% of our current budget?
Pres BO could also call for "modernizing" Social Security and letting workers under 40 invest in private accounts.
P.S. We remind you that Pres Bush had deficits in the 2 to 3% of GDP over eight years!
