The GOP is back and winning in all of those familiar places!

From 1968 to 2004, the GOP won 7 of 10 presidential elections.

We won huge "40-plus states" landslides in 1972, 1980, 1984 and 1988!

We won around 30 states in the two GW Bush victories of 2000 and 2004!

In 2008, BO did the unthinkable: He got a majority of the popular vote! And he won states like Indiana, Florida, Nevada, North Carolina and Ohio!

Don't bet on Pres BO, or any other Dem, doing that in 2012: The GOP Electoral College lock is back!

Jay Cost has a good analysis of the 2010 election:

"The midterm results also revealed that some longstanding alignments are still in place.

Again, this might come as a surprise to liberals who mistook Barack Obama’s victory in 2008 for the beginning of a new, enduring Democratic majority.

The 2010 midterms proved that their interpretation was wrong.

The midterm battle revealed that the “Bush majority” is still alive and well—and strong enough to sweep the Republican party to its largest House majority in several generations."

It was a great night for those of us who did not buy the "emerging Dem majority" nonsense!

Tuesday's election also sets the table for a GOP presidential candidate to win the 2012 election!
