Are the Dems about to "cut and run" from Pres BO?

During the 2008 campaign, some of us argued that candidate BO did not have the experience to be president of the US.

It wasn't about ideology. It was about experience.

For example, I never raised the "experience" issue with Sen Kerry, VP Gore, Gov Clinton, Gov Dukakis, VP Mondale or even one term governor named Carter!

We did raise them with BO because it was obvious that he was rushing his way to the presidency.....no executive experience and just two years in the US Senate after a lackluster career in the Illinois state senate.

We ask today: Why are some Dems in panic mode? Why are some Dems suddenly concerned that Pres BO is in over his head?

First, the electoral reality is not pretty: Map narrows for Obama reelection

"Two years after his dramatic expansion of the electoral map paved the way to a landslide win, President Barack Obama’s reelection campaign appears likely to resemble the political trench warfare that marked the 2000 and 2004 presidential races."

It will be very difficult for Pres BO to win reelection.

Frankly, the economy is not going to improve dramatically between now and next summer when the debates and campaign get started.

Do you think he has problems today? Wait until the Dems in Congress bail out on his Afghanistan policy?

Second, Pres BO seems to have lost the public. His credibility is shot, specially after the failed stimulus and the way that BO-Care was rushed through.

Third, it does not look that Pres BO is enjoying the job. He seems frustrated with the reality that he can't get things done, whether we are talking about immigration reform or persuading our allies to send troops to Afghanistan.

Fourth, he is in over his head. Please read this and remember that it didn't come from anyone in the right wing conspiracy:

"With the exception of core Obama Administration loyalists, most politically engaged elites have reached the same conclusions: the White House is in over its head, isolated, insular, arrogant and clueless about how to get along with or persuade members of Congress, the media, the business community or working-class voters.

This view is held by Fox News pundits, executives and anchors at the major old-media outlets, reporters who cover the White House, Democratic and Republican congressional leaders and governors, many Democratic business people and lawyers who raised big money for Obama in 2008, and even some members of the Administration just beyond the inner circle." (The author is Mark Halperin of TIME.)

We repeat: Everyone in Washington knows that BO is in over his head. My guess is that all of those leaders at the G-20 have concluded the same thing.

The authors are Douglas E. Schoen and Patrick H. Caddell, two of the best Dem pollsters around.

Schoen worked for Pres Clinton and Caddell with Pres Carter.

They are veterans in polling and political analysis.

These are two key lines from their article:

"To that end, we believe Obama should announce immediately that he will not be a candidate for reelection in 2012."

And this one:

"We do not come to this conclusion lightly. But it is clear, we believe, that the president has largely lost the consent of the governed."

I think that Schoen and Caddell are on to something. They want Pres BO to focus on solving problems rather than seeking reelection.

I can not recall any article like this in recent memory. I simply do not remember two party veterans calling on their president to avoid reelection.

This is truly amazing and a sign of just how bad Pres BO's political situation is.

This video just adds more to the story. It is truly amazing to hear what Joe Scarborough is reporting:
