Why did Jerry Jones finally pulled the trigger and make a mid-season coaching change?
The answer is back to back horrific performances!
First, the players quit on Coach Phillips!
Frankly, that's unforgivable! Players are supposed to be professionals and play with pride!
How can anyone of those players feel any pride by their back to back efforts?
Second, Jerry Jones was desperately trying to protect his brand!
How can you play like that in front of people who buy tickers?
How can you embarrass yourself like that in front of a national audience and advertisers paying millions to broadcast the game?
Third, Jerry Jones needs to do what he has always refused to do.
Jerry Jones needs to be an owner and let a "football man" be the GM!
After that, let the GM hire a coach who won't have to bump into Jerry Jones in the players' clubhouse.
It was a horrible day for Cowboys' fans.
I feel bad for Coach Phillips because he deserved better, specially from the players who quit on him.
Good luck to Jason Garrett. Let's hope that he will clean house if the players don't show up to play.
