We are still looking for a Dem in a competitive election making the case for BO-Care, the stimulus or closing GITMO.
On the contrary, the Dems are runnin away from anything Obama.
We are even more astonished by Pres BO's election strategy.
Karl Rove has a good analysis today:
"The economy and jobs are the No. 1 issue in every poll.
Yet Mr. Obama of late has talked about immigration reform and weighed in (unprompted) on the Ground Zero mosque.
He devoted Labor Day to an ineffective Mideast peace initiative.
He demeans large blocs of voters and now is ending his midterm pitch with attacks on nonexistent foreign campaign contributions and weird assertions that "the Empire is striking back."
Rove is right. Pres BO's startegy makes no sense.
How is this "unpresidential behaior" going to help Pres BO with the crucial independent voting bloc?
It is not helping them!
So why is he doing it?
My guess is that this White House has given up on independents or any centrists out there.
Instead, they are focusing on getting out the base, a very disillusioned base to say the least!
