In yesterday's post, we argued for Josh Hamilton as the AL MVP.
Is Ron Washington my candidate for AL Manager of the Year?
Not quite!
Washington won 90 games and led the Rangers to their first divisional title since 1999.
He also has a great working relationship with the players.
I agree with JJ Taylor: Credit Ron Washington, players for sticking together in crisis
Washington deserves a lot of first place votes. However, I have to go with Ron Gardenhire of the Minnesota Twins.
Since 2002, Gardenhire has led the Twins to several post season appearances.
Also, the Twins get more out of their limited payroll than any other team ever.
Washington should come in second!
