We disagree often with Juan Williams. However, I've also grown to respect his views and the work that he is done on race relations.
Williams is fighting back:
"My point in recounting this debate is to show this was in the best American tradition of a fair, full-throated and honest discourse about the issues of the day. -- There was no bigotry, no crude provocation, no support for anti-Muslim sentiments of any kind."
Williams also thinks that the firing has someting to do with FOX News:
"“I knew about their antagonism toward Fox. I knew they didn't like it,” Williams said on ABC’s “Good Morning America.” " (Politico)
What was NPR thinking?
They were not thinking and that's the problem!
NPR's explanation is foolish! Very foolish!
Some Republicans are calling for defunding NPR.
Let's defund NPR for one big reason: We don't need a news service supported by taxpayers!
Let the marketplace decide! There are plenty of choices or oportunities on the dial.
Let NPR go out and sell its time like any other station.
