We were very happy that The Dallas Morning News endorsed Stephen Broden in US House # 30.
We are very disappointed that they have withdrawn their endorsement.
The Dallas Morning News over-reacted to Mr Broden's comments about "overthrowing" our government.
Mr Broden has a long history in the 30th district. Is there any evidence of violence or irresponsible rhetoric in his background?
Mr Broden was talking about overthrow as a last resort against a totalatarian government.
Frankly, I would have preferred that Mr Broden had never said that.
At the same time, let's not blow his unfortunate remarks out of proportion!
The Dallas Morning News has the luxury of being neutral in this election.
The citizens in the district do not: It's Broden or Johnson in the 30th district.
My recommendation is Broden!
